Split holiday expenses, simply

Rental, groceries, tolls, restaurants… Everyone notes what they pay during the stay, and when you get back the tool says who pays back whom. Families can count by shares: a couple as 2, a child as ½.

How does it work?

1

Create the group: a name and the participants’ first names. No account, no email.

2

Share the link on WhatsApp: everyone adds what they paid, from their own phone.

3

Settle up: the tool works out who owes how much to whom, with as few transfers as possible.

No expense limit, no intrusive ads

Some apps limit the number of expenses per day in their free version or make the whole group install the app. Here, everything happens in the browser: open the link and off you go, even for grandma who doesn’t have the app.

Equal split or by shares

An expense can be split between everyone, between just a few people, or by shares (a couple counts as 2, a child as ½). Repayments between participants are added in one click.

Your data is temporary

The group is deleted automatically 60 days after the last change (and at the latest one year after it was created). The exact date is shown in the group. You can also delete it yourself, and export the accounts first.

Share this tool Free, no sign-up and no expense limit.

Frequently asked questions

How do you split costs between two families of different sizes?

Use the split by shares: each adult counts as 1 and each child as ½ (or whatever you agree). Each family can also be a single participant with a number of shares.

Do we need to keep the receipts?

It’s not compulsory, but noting the expense as soon as it’s paid avoids forgetting it. One line is enough: what, how much, who paid.

Do I need to install an app?

No. The group opens in the phone or computer browser, through the shared link. Nobody needs to create an account.

How many expenses can I add?

As many as you need: there’s no daily limit. A group can hold up to 1,500 expenses and 50 participants.
